Does anyone know why Jessica is no longer part of the program?
This blog http://sosvcfa.blogspot.com has details on what happened after her sudden departure from the MFA-V program, but no explanation is given as to WHY she is no longer there. Did she resign? Was she kicked out?
I'm pretty scared for the program. What will the next residency and all the others be like without her? What are you all doing about the loss of Jessica?
I haven't done anything because I don't know what to do. I don't know why she's gone (and there's nothing worse than jumping to ridiculous conclusions.)
Any insight/your opinions would be good!
That is a good question Leah. I am not sure what the deal is either. All I picked up is that she left for personal reasons. I remember during the last residency she (I think) was having some family issues to tend to. She kept having to leave the office. Other than that I am not picking up on any other reason. Maybe they are hiding it well, but it doesnt feel like a negative choice. I am worried about the glue of the program without her, but things do change and she couldnt have stayed there forever but it is certainly hard to imagine it there without her.
ReplyDeleteI totally cried when I found out she was gone. I was going through too much to handle something like that. I have been thinking about writing to her. She added me on facebook. If she writes anything about it on there I will let you know.
