I hope all is well. I would really like to meet up with you guys in the next few weeks. It would be exciting to talk about what we have been doing the last three months. I could head up in the morning and make a day out of it. I don’t know how easy it would be to bring what I have been doing. There is really not much left but a photo by the time I’m done drowning it in water, and then burning it up. Experimenting has been great. I will let you know when I can swing it. what's written all over the wood? did you sit down and write all that? and then burn it? do you have pictures of the burnt wood?
ReplyDeleteBurning is going to happen sometime, I’m right in the middle of trying to burn it without setting my shop on fire or maybe I’ll hose it down with water. I had too many questions of what to do next so I put it aside for awhile. This is one of many things I have made with these particular pieces of wood, I’m trying to reuse the materials then take the work apart and use it again for something else. That’s where the writing came from, part of the first step. I’m also trying to tie this all into language some way and that has been the hard part, you will understand more when we meet. I have it all documented and I would be glad to share..June 4th seems good right now, I have to check in with the wife and see how that’s going to work. Should be fine.. I have to go to Boston this weekend so I will let you know for sure early next week…Late
ReplyDeleteEzra! HOly crap! These are so great. Time, detail, time, patience and all of these things come to mind. I dont know how you are finding the time to do all of this with lil babies to take care of! I need to come to Montpelier next week to the DMV, June 4th would work for me!
