Hey, I haven't met with my A/T yet- I'll meet with him around the 27th. I am not even remotely close to getting back into the studio because i am so fixated on the PAPERS. However, I decided that I would take it slowly and just start drawing at my kitchen table (my studio has no heat now and it is %$#$%$@!!!!!!!! cold in there)

Simply drawing either with a pen, pencil or ink. I always think about Richard Serra when I am wondering how to begin- he said "the work makes the work" or something like that. You can't get something from nothing- so I will poke along making marks and see if anything happens. Perhaps meeting with A/Ts and brainstorming ideas will be useful. That is what I am hoping.

I apologize if people have  had multiple copies of this post- I am still figuring it out. I thought I "posted" a while ago but it didn't come through. Any helpful hints?

Ps Ezra, it's good to hear from you- kids trump anything else.
