camera help

Hi everyone,
I have a cruddy little digital camera that I don't quite know how to use... I am taking studio pictures but they seem to be too large to send as email images. How can I size them to not take up so much file space? Any tips would be appreciated.

Also, should we have already applied for financial aid for the upcoming semester?

yes, total insanity over here! I'm almost done with my paper and I'm finishing up some videos. If I have time and energy maybe I'll make a special one for the 7 min. max. Cherri Rocker style.

I'm taking requests for any of your favorite rock'n tunes, old or new, male or female vocals.

Seriously! I can't wait to see you and catch up! It's been crazy and tough this semester.

2 Months

I have been thinking of you guys. Two more months . Hope you are all in a very happy non panicking place right now.

this semester seems to be floating by much quicker for me than last semeseter. I can't believe it is nearly December. So much work to do and so little time. Days in the studio seem to fly by and their is always so much to do. I have continued the process of making drawings and cutting tearing reassembling I find the process very satisfying but time consuming. I have one large piece done and many small ones I have started another large piece and a sculptor which will hopefully stand in front of the large piece and start to address a third space I am also photographing them and may present photos in the end as a way of flatting the pieces out. Dont know but my drawing skills are kickin cause of all the drawings it takes to create a piece of work. Hope you all are doing well and are in the same state of artistic confusion that I find myself in.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well. This will be my second attempt in 5 minutes to post an image. Sigh. I haven't posted images in the past because it takes me sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to figure out how. (Carrie you are not alone!) 

This is a "drawing" from many months ago that I discarded (in my head), saved for studio records ( apparently important for all of us to remember), and now rediscovered as something with possibilities.

WOW

I am overwhelmed by all this incredible work you guys are posting here. I am in NYC this weekend and I finally met my artist teacher. What an experience, in a fancy NYC loft/studio. I felt like I was in another place and time. Like transported into the world I have only read about in books about well known artists. BUT I did get to see a real live exhibit of the photographer I am currently studying for my VC, it was FANTASTIC! What are the odds right, and it happened to be the last day of the show!
Anywho, I have a lot to show you guys but I am hussling like a madwomen lately so its been hard to keep up with things. I have lots of new darkroom prints and it seems my work has currently found itself at the base of where it has always been. My heritage of course. That realization slapped me in the face today while meeting with my AT. Strange things are happening in the darkroom and lately I feel that other things are visiting my negative other than myself. I promise I will post soon. I miss all of you SO much and I cannot wait to see you guys again. How is all the VC work going for all of you???
NYC is like a contant stimulator machine...I am going to fall down in bed like a redwood falls in the forest. ;)

I lay down and traced my own body and used this outline template to create the tracing paper patterns that make up these funny patchwork body fragments. The fabric is mostly from the insides of little girl dresses I have been collecting from Saver's. It does make me feel like a pervert, perusing Saver's kid dresses, peeking under all the skirts.

Hope all is well. My cooperative gallery in Burlington, 215 College Gallery, is sponsoring a juried drawing show-"Drawn". Selected work will be in an exhibition at 215 College Gallery in Burlington, VT, opening January 2010- We have a guest juror, Mildred Beltre, an artist who teaches at UVM will be judging the work (blind judging- no names), all the info is on our website: 215collegegallery.com

We are defining drawing broadly- All selected work must be dropped off in person- so this limits folks geographically... please check out the application and details on the website. I would encourage folks to apply- I will have nothing to do with selection process, but will install show.
